THE recommendation for anyone who wants crystal-clear photos:
The Samyang 16mm f/2.0 ED AS UMC CS ultra wide-angle manual focus Lens for Canon was specially developed for APS-C / crop sensors. This fixed focal length offers first-class image quality. The perfect Lens for landscape photographers and nature photographers who work with cameras with crop sensors. It is of course also an ingenious enrichment for all friends of wide-angle photography.
The optical construction consists of 13 elements in 11 groups. Of these, 2 are aspherical lenses and one ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lens. Unwanted lens flares are reduced by the UMC (Ultra Multi Coating) coating and prevent so-called "ghosting".
With a filter thread of 77mm, screwing on ND, UV or polarizing filters is no problem.
Focusing is manual, which works with pinpoint accuracy thanks to the smooth-running focus ring. In addition, the close-up limit of just 0.20 m is so low that nothing gets out of focus so quickly.
