  • Super telephoto zoom lens
  • high optical quality for the highest demands of professional photographers
  • Use of multi-materials for mobility and durability
  • a design that allows the photographer to capture every desired moment
  • HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor)
  • High-speed autofocus
  • Image stabilization (OS)

The world's first telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom up to 600mm
The 10x super telephoto zoom lens covers the focal length range from 60mm to 600mm and achieves the same high imaging performance as the SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Sports. Thanks to the lens construction with 25 elements in 19 groups, a consistent image quality can be achieved over the entire zoom range. This Lens also makes use of an intelligent OS*1 with the latest algorithm that achieves an image stabilization effect of 4 exposure stops*2. Thanks to the HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor), also with an updated algorithm, the high-speed autofocus detects any subject movement without delay. High resolution, high image quality and high mobility - the SIGMA 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Sports is the birth of a lens that plays in a different league to previous high-resolution zoom lenses.

*1 Thanks to the image stabilization function, movements of subjects can be captured in mode 2 without loss of the tracking effect - regardless of the position of the lens, whether the camera is moved horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
*2 Based on CIPA guidelines (Tested at 600mm with a 35mm full-frame image sensor)

1. High optical quality for the highest demands of professional photographers
This Lens contains three FLD ("F" Low Dispersion) glass elements and one SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass element for excellent chromatic aberration correction in super telephoto photography. It delivers both high resolution and consistent performance over the entire image and zoom range. In addition, the SIGMA 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Sports with a focal length of 200mm can also be used for telephoto macro photography with the maximum magnification ratio of 1:3.3 thanks to its high imaging performance.

2. use of multi-materials for mobility and durability
To achieve the comfortable handling required for a 10x zoom lens while maintaining high optical quality, the SIGMA 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Sports incorporates multi-materials such as magnesium, CFRP*3 and TSC*4. The use of these high-quality materials in the right place reduces the weight of the Lens while optimizing portability and durability.

*3 Carbon fiber reinforced plastic - a lightweight but strong material that is used, among other things, in aircraft construction inside and out.
*4 Thermally-Stable-Composite (TSC) has a similar thermal expansion to aluminum. The dimensional stability of components made of TSC is less affected by temperature fluctuations. These components are therefore better suited for use in extreme conditions and contribute to the reliability of the Lens. TSC is also characterized by excellent elasticity. Compared to polycarbonate with 20 % glass content, TSC offers around 70 % higher elasticity. Compared to polycarbonate with 30 % glass content, it offers 25 % higher elasticity.
(The comparison refers to components produced by SIGMA.)

3. A design that lets the photographer capture every desired moment
The zoom mechanism has been developed so that it can be used both as a rotating zoom and as a sliding zoom. In addition, as part of the Sports product line, the Lens is dust and splash-proof, making it safe to use even in the most difficult shooting conditions. Together with the water and oil-repellent coating on the front element, this lens meets the requirements of professional photographers.

4. The SIGMA 600mm super telephoto zoom lens series covers different styles of photography
With the introduction of the 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Sports, the product line of 600mm zooms from SIGMA expands to three lenses. The SIGMA 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Sports is extremely "versatile". It focuses on high image quality and mobility and offers excellent coverage from the standard focal length to the super telephoto range without having to change lenses. The 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Sports stands for a "robust" construction with its many metal parts. With these two sports lenses, which meet the highest professional demands, and the "lightweight" 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Contemporary, which is weight-reduced and thus makes photography more pleasant and comfortable, SIGMA undoubtedly meets the various requirements of photographers.

Lens features
DG
DG lenses - SIGMA's DG lenses are designed for demanding use on digital cameras with sensors up to 24x36mm format (colloquially known as full-frame format). The use of state-of-the-art coating processes successfully eliminates ghost images caused by reflections on the sensor surface while achieving a balanced color balance and outstanding optical performance.
As these lenses also illuminate the 24x36mm analogue film format, they can also be used on some suitable analogue cameras, although we would ask you to check with us in individual cases.

OS
Optical stabilizer (OS) - sensors in the Lens detect camera movements that can lead to blurring in the image and, in conjunction with a movably suspended lens element, these movements are compensated for. As a result, your photographic options for freehand shots are increased considerably. Stabilized Lens allow you to shoot handheld without blurring for 3 - 4 exposure stops longer than usual. On camera models that are already equipped with a stabilizer, you have the choice of using the camera's stabilizer or that of the Lens. However, stabilizers in the Lens always have the advantage that they also provide you with a stabilized viewfinder image. This means that nothing stands in the way of an accurate assessment of the image and precise use of the focus.

HSM
HSM ultrasonic motor (Hyper Sonic Motor) - HSM lenses use a motor that is driven by ultrasonic waves. This technology offers you a very fast, precise and almost silent way of automatic focusing. Two different types of HSM ultrasonic drive are used in our lenses. One is the HSM ring motor, which is mainly used in the high-quality EX Lens. This HSM drive allows you to manually intervene in AF mode at any time. On the other hand, an HSM micromotor is primarily used in compact Lens, the so-called all-round zoom lenses. Manual intervention in AF mode is not possible here.
