Leofoto Ranger LS-223C Carbon Tripod
The smallest and lightest tripod among the Leofoto Ranger series travel tripods. It is, in a word, ultra-compact. This mini tripod can be stowed in any reasonably roomy photo bag (or backpack), and often even in a space-saving, upright "stance". With it, photo tasks can be mastered in a way that puts many a large tripod in said bag. The Leofoto Ranger LS-223C carbon tripod is simply the ideal "always with you" tripod. Passé the motive situations, in which one missed a tripod! The load capacity of this tripod is no less than 10 kg! The weight of the tripod is just 540 grams. And only a little more weighs the complete set of carbon tripod, stainless steel spikes and multi-tool. Everything comes together in a practical carrying bag.

Leofoto Ranger series - the ultra-light but enormously stable carbon tripods
Quasi the nature of the compact and lightweight Leofoto Ranger tripods is nature. On days of photo stalking, every gram and millimeter counts to minimize the volume and weight of the luggage. But all equipment must not only save space and weight, but also meet very high requirements. Stability under all circumstances, that is the requirement. The required lightness is ensured by the material, carbon. Its stability and freedom from vibration "grow" with the number of its layers. Apart from the Traveler tripod series and the monopods, Leofoto tripods are made of ten-layer carbon.

With their small diameters, the head plates of the Ranger series also subordinate themselves to the space-saving concept. And because they are CNC-machined from strong aircraft aluminum, they are absolutely accurate. The head plate screw has a 3/8" thread in each case. The tripod legs - each consisting of three to five leg elements, depending on the model - glide smoothly and without twisting. They are fixed in place by securely gripped, rubberized twist locks. Unwanted vibrations are absorbed by the rubber feet. If necessary, they can be replaced with the supplied stainless steel spikes or optional snow and sand feet.

Leofoto Ranger LS-223C Carbon Tripod - in a nutshell
For all its lightness and stability (already described above), the tripod also shines with its small dimensions: 200 mm packing size and 310 mm maximum working height (both without ball head). With a ball head, these figures increase accordingly. It is hardly surprising that the Ranger LS-223C can also perform an almost perfect "balancing act". Then the impressively low working height of 45 mm (without ball head) offers ideal conditions for macro shots of the ground life below. The legs consist of three segments with diameters of 22, 19 and 16 mm.
