  • LAOWA 58mm f/2.8 2X Ultra Macro APO
  • up to 2x magnification
  • apochromatic (APO) characteristic
  • excellent sharpness
  • greater depth of field
  • Internal focusing
  • soft bokeh

With the LAOWA 58mm f/2.8 2X Ultra Macro APO, LAOWA presents another addition to its 2:1 macro lens series for mirrorless full-frame cameras. The 14 lens elements in 10 groups and the apochromatic correction (APO) ensure the highest imaging performance with the lowest chromatic aberration in the focus and blur planes.

The image is razor sharp from close up to infinity.
Furthermore, the circular closing f/2.8 - f/22 aperture with 13 aperture blades ensures a wonderfully soft bokeh. The angle of view is 40.9 degrees.

With 58mm focal length, crystal clear sharpness as well as beautiful bokeh, this Lens is not only an excellent macro 2:1 lens that can be focused down to 18.5cm, but also ideal for portrait and product photography.
Thanks to its shorter focal length, this lens is also great for repro photography.

Because the lens has a shorter focal length than some other macro lenses on the market, it has a greater depth of field than a light telephoto macro lens. Thus, more of the background is shown at the same aperture. This is an advantage when the photographer wants to tell a clearer visual story.

Three ultra-high refractive index and three ultra-low dispersion (ED) lenses reduce chromatic aberration as well as optical distortion and ghosting to an absolute minimum. In addition, this design ensures outstanding sharpness right into the corners of the image.

Internal focusing prevents accidental contact between the lens and the object. In addition, it also protects against dust penetration, for example.

Focusing as well as aperture adjustment are performed manually.
