  • Compact shotgun design
  • Three recording modes: Shotgun (mono), 90° and 120° (stereo)
  • Frequency range: 50 Hz to 16 kHz
  • 66 dB signal-to-noise ratio, -42 dB sensitivity
  • CR2032 lithium battery

Outstanding sound quality - the DM-E1 stereo directional microphone
The DM-E1 is a compact stereo directional microphone with exceptional performance and is suitable for recordings where the quality of the sound must be just as convincing as the images. It has been designed to enhance the production quality of the EOS range. The DM-E1 is a versatile, high quality microphone suitable for many tasks and is therefore ideal for complementing the exceptional image quality of compatible EOS cameras.

It features a classic shotgun design and three polar patterns that can be adjusted to suit the acoustics on location. The mono shotgun mode is best suited for a sound source directly in front of the camera - for example during an interview, when speech should stand out better from background noise. Switching to 90 or 120 degree mode captures - in stereo - sound sources that are spread over a larger area, such as an orchestra in a concert hall.

The integrated mount has damping and decouples any noise from the camera and Lens. Wind noise is suppressed by a special protective screen. With a frequency response of 50 Hz to 16 kHz, the microphone captures a wide frequency range, while the signal-to-noise ratio of 66 dB at a sensitivity of -42 dB underlines the high quality of the microphone with minimal distortion.

Perfectly compact - ideal for on the go
The DM-E1 is one of the smallest and lightest microphones of its kind and is therefore ideal for use on location. It can be connected to a range of compatible Canon EOS cameras via the 3.5 mm mini jack.
