The new Speedlite Transmitter enables wireless flash synchronization and multiple control of Speedlites from up to 30 meters away via radio signal, giving professionals more creative freedom when shooting in the studio or on location.

Added to the key features of the recently introduced Speedlite EL-1, there are also new capabilities when using older generation RT Speedlites - including wireless (via radio) sync to second shutter curtain*.
The ST-E3-RT (Ver.2) supports 1/8,192x light output** when used externally with a Speedlite EL-1, as well as flash exposure lock (FE) when controlling the flash unit manually.

Update of existing model: Canon will also offer a chargeable update for existing ST-E3-RT transmitters of the previous generation.
The update to the new additional features and capabilities of the ST-E3-RT (Ver.2) will be available at Canon service centers and will be available around the sales launch of version 2 (end of May).

*For supported 2020 model year cameras with the latest firmware (e.g. EOS-1D X Mark III and EOS R5/R6, but not EOS 850D). Supports EL-1, 600EX II-RT, 600EX-RT, 430EX III-RT speedlites.
**The 1/8,192 output is only possible with the EL-1 (increases to 1/128 output with high-speed sync function).
